The Kansas City Chiefs announced their captains for Super Bowl LVII, to be held on February 12, against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Kansas City Chiefs announced their official captains for Super Bowl LVII, which will be held on Sunday, February 12, against the Philadelphia Eagles in Glendale, Arizona. There’s still well over a week to go before the game, but the Chiefs are out in front of things with their selections unveiled on Thursday.

Most of the captains would be easy to guess for most fans since the franchise’s pillars are among the players selected.

The list of captains for the Chiefs in Super Bowl 57 include quarterback Patrick Mahomes, tight end Travis Kelce, and running back Jerick McKinnon on the offensive side. From the defense, defensive tackle Chris Jones and linebacker Nick Bolton were called upon, as was punter Tommy Townsend who can represent special teams.

This will be the first Super Bowl for half of the team’s captains, as Nick Bolton was drafted before the 2021 season. Townsend was also signed as a rookie free agent, and McKinnon, believe it or not, is a veteran who has yet to play in the biggest game of all.
