The Kansas City Chiefs have watched a couple of key players leave the field due to injury, including wide receiver Kadarius Toney.

The Kansas City Chiefs came into the AFC Championship game against the Cincinnati Bengals with a couple of key injury concerns on the offensive side of the ball with tight end Travis Kelce’s back spasms and quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ high ankle sprain. Unfortunately after the first quarter, the team can add wide receiver Kadarius Toney to that list.

Toney has been an instrumental part of this offense early against the Bengals with a near touchdown catch and another key grab, but it was on a play where he was open for a first down that he went down with an ankle injury—a play in which he seemed to injure himself with his own agility.

In case you missed Toney’s original injury, you can see it on the second scoring drive of the day for the Chiefs here.

From there, Toney was seen walking gingerly and ended up getting attention from the Chiefs’ training staff on the sidelines before he headed to the locker room. From there, the Chiefs made it official that Toney would be questionable in his official designation.

Toney had 230 total yards from scrimmage and 3 touchdowns after coming over to the Chiefs at midseason following a trade with the New York Giants.
