The Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs will face off in the AFC Championship for the second-straight season.

The odds have been all over the place this week, and as of writing this article, the Bengals are set as 1-point favorites. If you want my betting preview and best bet for the game, check it out here.

The uncertainty behind Patrick Mahomes’ high-ankle sprain is likely the reason for the change in odds, so you may want to just bet on player props instead.

That’s where this article comes in.

Let me give you my best player props for the AFC Championship.

Best NFL prop bets for Bengals vs. Chiefs

  • Marquez Valdes-Scantling OVER 27.5 receiving yards
  • Joe Mixon UNDER 58.5 rushing yards
  • Chris Jones to record a sack

Marquez Valdes-Scantling OVER 27.5 receiving yards

Marquez Valdes-Scantling has established himself as the deep threat in the Chiefs’ offense, which means he may only need one or two catches to go over his receiving yards total of 27.5.

When these two teams met in the regular season, MVS only had two receptions but racked up 71 total receiving yards. Let’s hope for a similar performance from home on Sunday so those prop bet can cash.

Joe Mixon UNDER 58.5 rushing yards

Joe Mixon hasn’t had as good of a year as you may think. Sure, he recorded 105 rushing yards in the snow last week against the Bills, but he’s averaging just 3.9 yards per carry this season.

If you think the Chiefs are going to win this game, like I do, then the Bengals may need to switch their game script to more of a pass-heavy scheme if Kansas City gets out to a lead. That’s going to kill Mixon’s rushing total.

I’ll take the UNDER on his rushing total despite last week’s strong performance.

Chris Jones to record a sack

The Bengals offensive line is banged up, so it’s time for Chris Jones to eat. He already has 15.5 sacks on the season, and now he’s facing a depleted offensive line that even when healthy, gave up 2.7 sacks per game.

I’ll lay the -122 juice for Jones to take down Burrow in the back field on Sunday.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
