Six KC Chiefs players who are aiming for their first Super Bowl

Brandon Williams was almost a man on the outside looking in at meaningful football at this stage of his career—that is, until the Chiefs came calling late in the regular season with an offer to join the practice squad.
While nothing official has been said, it feels reasonable to connect the dots for the signing to the presence of defensive line coach Joe Cullen. Cullen, a longtime defensive line coach with the Baltimore Ravens, is in his first season in Kansas City, and given his familiarity with Williams as a run-stuffer up front, he likely requested such an addition as the season wore on.
Once the Chiefs released Taylor Stallworth, a space was made for Williams to reach the active roster and he’s been in place ever since as a rotational player for Cullen to lean on. While Williams only plays 15-30 percent of defensive snaps, his presence on key downs allows the Chiefs to clog up the lanes and stymie opposing running backs.
Williams played for the Ravens for nine seasons, and Baltimore even made the Super Bowl during his rookie campaign. However, Williams never played a single snap in that moment and has had to wait a full decade to get back to it once again. You’d better believe he’s not taking this opportunity for granted.
