80 percent

This one is a bit vaguer, but we’re leaning into this one because it’s just so overwhelming that it has to affect the Cincinnati Bengals at some point.

Patrick Mahomes has won 80 percent of the games he’s started in his career. Yes, that’s 80 percent. That’s four-fifths of all games that have fallen the Chiefs’ way. Four wins in every five tries. That’s just remarkable.

So what is it with these Bengals? They’ve won three in a row against Kansas City and seven of the last eight. In fact, the Bengals have won 8 of 10 going back to the mid-00s. This streak is rather silly and not indicative of the talent levels on either team throughout that period.

If Mahomes gets the best of the average club enough to win 80 percent of his games, then at some point, he and the Chiefs have to break through against Joe Burrow and the Bengals.
