The 101 Awards will honor both Patrick Mahomes and Chris Jones at the offseason banquet to be held on February 25.

Every year early in the NFL offseason, the annual NFL 101 Awards are held in Kansas City to celebrate the previous year in football. Awards are given out for excellence in a number of categories to honor the best performers in both conferences.

This year, a couple of players from the local franchise are being honored as two of the league’s best, making it an extra-special event. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be awarded the AFC’s Offensive Player of the Year while Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones will be given the AFC’s Defensive Player of the Year award.

Other winners this year will include the AFC Coach of the Year award going to former Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson. Now the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Pederson led the team to the Divisional Round just one year after picking first overall in the NFL Draft as the league’s worst team.

From the NFC, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts will be honored on the offensive side while San Francisco 49ers pass rusher Nick Bosa will receive the Defensive Player of the Year award. New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll was named Coach of the Year in the conference.

The awards will be held on February 25 at The Westin.
