Kansas City Chiefs safety Juan Thornhill has challenged fans via Twitter to help break the decibel record at Arrowhead Stadium this postseason.

It’s been nearly a decade now since fans at Arrowhead Stadium cheered for the Kansas City Chiefs so loudly that they set a new record for loudest crowd roar. The folks at Guinness World Records were on hand to officially document the event, and the crowds that day—back during the 2014 season—reached an incredible 142.2 decibels.

Chiefs safety Juan Thornhill wonders if it’s time to amp that up. (Pun intended.)

Thornhill knows a thing or two about the help that fans provide during a Super Bowl run, and he took to Twitter on Thursday to ask Chiefs Kingdom if they are up for breaking the record set back in ’14 during the team’s current postseason run.

Here’s what he had to ask fans:

Thornhill’s request or inquiry likely comes in response to quotes from Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence in recent days, who stated, in part, “I can’t imagine it will be much louder than our fans were here on Saturday.” Taken out of context, which the phrasing has been on social media, it caused Chiefs Kingdom to push back on Twitter and other outlets with sort of a “we will show you” demeanor.

The truth is that Lawrence’s comments taken in full were really rather boring by comparison.

"“Obviously, the environment and atmosphere we’re going to play in is one of if not the best in the NFL. I can’t imagine it will be much louder than our fans were here on Saturday, honestly, but that was when we were on defense, not offense. We played there earlier in the year, but this is a little bit different. It’s a playoff game, Divisional Round, so the stakes are higher. So I expect them to be even crazier, more packed stadium.”"

If someone has a problem with that quote—one that even speaks highly of Arrowhead and Chiefs fans—then you’re just looking for some reason to be outraged.

That said, it’s never a bad time to set a new record and it’d be a lot of fun to see and hear a stadium setting such a high mark for support and noise. By the way, physical pain is said to begin at 125 decibels, so if you plan to be on hand for the excitement, make sure you wear proper ear protection.

The Chiefs and Jaguars kick off on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. (CT) to start the Divisional Round.
