The Kansas City Chiefs are going to face a lot of tough games every year due to their sustained success, but they seem to also have some cupcakes in 2023.

The 2022-23 regular season may have only just come to a close and the playoffs are literally just around the corner, but the next season of the NFL is already taking shape. Following the regular-season finale last weekend, the list of opponents the Kansas City Chiefs will face next season is officially locked in.

Having just swept the AFC West this season, the Chiefs will, of course, face the Raiders, Broncos, and Chargers twice. Kansas City will also take on the AFC East – the Bills, Jets, Patriots, and Dolphins, as well as the NFC North’s Packers, Vikings, Lions, and Bears. They will also face off against fellow AFC division winners, the Bengals and Jaguars, and the NFC’s number one seed in the playoffs the Eagles.

While there are some tough matchups on that list, there are also some that the Chiefs will look on favorably. Looking ahead, here are the five easiest games on Kansas City’s schedule for next season.

5. DENVER BRONCOS (A)

When you have beaten a team 15 times in a row, they have to be on a list of the easiest opponents you will face. And when that team is as bad as the Denver Broncos are and in as difficult a predicament as they currently find themselves in, they absolutely have to be on that list.

To say the Chiefs have dominated Denver recently would be a vast, vast understatement. After 15 wins in a row, a streak that dates back to November of 2015, the Chiefs have shown that they own the Broncos.

Denver took a massive gamble on Nathaniel Hackett and Russell Wilson turning the team around, but instead, they drove it straight into the ground. The former was fired before he could even finish his first full season in charge, and the latter was catastrophically bad and is locked into a mega contract that could handcuff the Broncos for years to come.

The Broncos were abysmal last season, and there isn’t much evidence to suggest that they will be much better next season, either. Given Denver’s roster limitations, their lack of a head coach, and the strength of this Chiefs team, there is no reason to think that the streak will end when the two sides meet at Mile High next season.
