Mecole Hardman

Of all of the players entering their contract seasons, Mecole Hardman seemed to have one of the most exciting opportunities ahead of him. He was the only experienced wide receiver at a completely rebuild position. Tyreek Hill had been traded to the Miami Dolphins, giving Hardman room to breathe given their similar skill sets.

It didn’t take long for Hardman to look like a bit of a disappointment this season but that was mostly due to injuries than anything else. Most recently, a long stint on injured reserve for an abdominal injury kept him out of most of the season’s second half.

The timing of Hardman’s injury was frustrating because he’d put up five touchdowns in only three games before it and was becoming a more dangerous offensive weapon in the remade offense, especially in the red zone. Can he return in the postseason to get teams excited about him again?

Given his ability to take over as a primary returner, his experience with Mahomes and Andy Reid, and his top speed, Hardman will have no problem finding a new team even if the ceiling isn’t what it could have been.
