Chiefs Kingdom has been welcoming celebrity fans along the way, especially in the last decade, and Henry Winkler is the latest to fall in love with the team.

Most of you likely know Henry Winkler as Arthur Fonzarelli, a.k.a. The Fonz, from the beloved television series Happy Days. For myself, Winkler has been just as much fun to watch as Dr. Saperstein from Parks and Rec or especially acting coach Gene Cousineau in Barry. But no matter what he’s in, it’s likely that most of us are fans of watching Winkler at his craft.

As it turns out, Winkler is himself a fan of watching the Kansas City Chiefs do their thing as well. Specifically, he’s singled out Patrick Mahomes (who wouldn’t?) as the object of his fandom and the pair have plans for dinner sometime in the new year.

According to TMZ Sports, Winkler has extended an invitation for a sit-down dinner and Mahomes has accepted, but the timing is going to wait until after the season is over, with the hopes that they can discuss the second Super Bowl win of Mahomes’ career.

Winkler first mentioned his appreciation for Mahomes’ instincts as a player in an interview on the Rich Eisen Show, and from there things have organically taken shape. Mahomes heard the interview and had Winkler as his personal guest at a Chiefs game in Los Angeles to face the Chargers earlier this year.

Art of the Game: The Broncos team photographers’ favorite photos from Week 17 vs the Chiefs (Broncos official site)

At this point, things are so bad in Denver that the content team is having to resort to polling team photographers for their favorite moments just to have any sort of positive or heartening content online. That’s not to knock the photos in particular (there are some good ones), but yeah, there’s just not a lot to celebrate at Mile High these days.

Chiefs pyrotechnics is wild (NFL on YouTube)

This is a short video worth watching because the fireworks at Arrowhead are always such a spectacle to behold (and sometimes we even run out of them). Here you can see behind the scenes a bit and watch the 375 pieces of pyrotechnics that are set up each week. It’s a pretty awesome setup for Chiefs Kingdom!
