In case you missed it while you were celebrating Christmas, the Denver Broncos got boat-raced by the Baker Mayfield Rams, 51-14 in L.A.

It was a total laugher, simulcast on Nickelodeon as the cherry on top.

The Rams didn’t punt once, Russell Wilson got benched for Brett Rypien, and then Nathaniel Hackett got fired; not even lasting one full season. They’re a punchline at this point and now have to go see Patrick Mahomes. If Baker Mayfield ripped apart the Broncos, then what is Mahomes going to do to this team?

Maybe there’s a bounce back from a team playing inspired football for an interim head coach, but I don’t think so.

Let’s load up on Chiefs props and have some fun with this one.

Best NFL Prop Bets for Broncos vs. Chiefs

  • Patrick Mahomes Over 283.5 Pass Yards (-114)
  • Travis Kelce 2+ Touchdowns (+510)
  • Isiah Pacheco Over 63.5 Rush Yards (-114)

Patrick Mahomes Over 283.5 Pass Yards (-114)

The Broncos have been one of the very best defenses in the league this season, but it’s over. They finally gave up.

They’ve been doing everything they possibly could to prop up Wilson and Hackett’s abysmal offense, but no more. The dam broke last week and there’s not stopping it now.

Mahomes is the MVP favorite, but for some reason it seems like people are bored with his brilliance and reluctant to give him the nod. This could be the equivalent of his stat-padding Heisman game.

Remember playing NCAA 14 when you schedule FCS West to put up 90 points and your quarterback throws for 600 yards and 8 touchdowns? I can’t imagine that’ll be his final stat line, but something like 350 and 4 scores sound about right based on what we saw a week ago.

Travis Kelce 2+ Touchdowns (+510)

Tyler Higbee is a solid tight end, maybe top 10 or top 15 in the league, but he’s not a dominant receiving threat and generational player at the position.

Yet, Higbee finished last week with nine catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns against this Broncos’ defense. If Kelce sees that same coverage, it’ll be curtains in the first quarter.

Isiah Pacheco Over 63.5 Rush Yards (-114)

Pacheco is the No. 1 traditional running back in Kansas City despite Jerick McKinnon’s emergence . If KC does get out to a big lead like I suspect, then why not hand it to your explosive rookie 20-25 times?

Get him and the offensive line used to closing out a game, because they’ll need to in the playoffs.
