After Week 16 of the NFL season, what do the standings look like in the AFC and AFC West? Where do the KC Chiefs stack up in the conference after clinching the division?

The NFL has completed 16 weeks of the regular season and the AFC playoff race is as intriguing as ever. Two divisions are already locked up and two are still up in the air. Several teams are also fighting for the final two wild card spots in the conference.

Week 16 featured five games involving two AFC teams and six members of the AFC lined up against NFC teams. Coming into the week, seven teams in the AFC had a winning record, seven teams had a losing record, and two teams were at exactly 0.500. What were the results of the games this week, and how did the standings change since last week?

Here is how the AFC West standings look after Week 16:

12-3. . Kansas City Chiefs. 1. team. 124.

9-6. . Los Angeles Chargers. 2. team. 13.

. 6-9. . Las Vegas Raiders. 3. team. 28

45. . 4-11. . Denver Broncos. 4. team

The Chiefs took care of business against the Seattle Seahawks. The Las Vegas Raiders fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Eve night. The Denver Broncos embarrassed themselves on Christmas Day against the Los Angeles Rams. The Los Angeles Chargers beat Nick Foles and the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football to officially clinch a playoff spot.

The Chiefs are the AFC West champions for the seventh consecutive season. The Los Angeles Chargers are fighting for a wild card, the Las Vegas Raiders are basically done, and the Denver Broncos are officially done.
