Seahawks vs. KC Chiefs: Inactive lists for Week 16

The Seattle Seahawks will be without Tyler Lockett as they visit the Kansas City Chiefs, and he’s not the only inactive player with value.

The Seattle Seahawks are visiting the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 16 in a game that will either keep them on the fringes of a surprising playoff position or take the wind out of their sails completely with three games left to play.

The Seahawks were widely expected to tank this season after trading superstar quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos for major draft assets and role players. Instead, Geno Smith was an early season candidate for Comeback Player of the Year and head coach Pete Carroll had a bright young team that ripped off a four-game win streak on their way to a 6-3 record at midseason.

Unfortunately for Seattle fans, their favorite team has been in a downward spiral ever since that moment. They’ve lost four of their last five and now sit on the outside looking in of any playoff picture with the Chiefs on deck in Week 16.

It doesn’t help Smith and the Seahawks’ offense that they will be missing star wideout Tyler Lockett who is out with a finger injury. D.K. Metcalf is healthy and they should still be able to move the chains on occasion, but they’re certainly not at full capacity. Neither are the Chiefs, however, who came into the game with an illness spreading on defense and tight end Jody Fortson out with an elbow injury.
