The Bottom Line

The Chiefs are both young and talented. While that in and of itself is a recipe for success in the NFL, they are also set up to make a couple of big moves to push them over the top for the future. While general manager Brett Veach is both lauded and criticized on different sides of Chiefs Kingdom, one thing that can’t be questioned is his ability to carefully construct a top-tier team. With more money to play with next offseason, the Chiefs could improve themselves even more.

The Chiefs will have some difficult decisions to make next offseason and it could be the most intriguing offseason of Veach’s tenure. With that in mind, the Chiefs could very well go on to win the Super Bowl this season and still have room to improve next season. The thought of that should be enough to scare every other NFL fanbase for the foreseeable future.

With Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid leading the way, the Chiefs are not only in good hands, but they are also a guaranteed finalist every season. That duo has not yet and may never miss the playoffs. If they can continue to add talent via the draft and free agency, they may just continue to make deep playoff runs and be set up to be remembered as one of the best teams in NFL history.
