Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is well-traveled on the head coach interview circuit. Will he finally become a head coach after the 2022 season?

NFL teams interviewing Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is now an offseason staple. He has interviewed for several teams in the past four years, including the Los Angeles Chargers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Detroit Lions. Over a four-year span, Bieniemy has had 14 head coaching interviews. Each interview has had the same result, with him returning to Kansas City once again.

Pockets of Chiefs fans have called for the Chiefs and Bieniemy to go their separate ways. Whether it be fabricated off-season testimony or a lackluster rushing attack, Bieniemy is not universally beloved by Chiefs fans. If the offense succeeds, head coach Andy Reid draws the praise. If the offense struggles, Bieniemy is to blame. It is nearly cyclical for many casual Chiefs fans.

Bieniemy has an extremely good resume compared to many of his fellow head coaching candidates. That resume and his connections have always made fans wonder what hinders Bieniemy in the interview process. But the game of probability says Bieniemy has to get a shot eventually. There are some enticing landing spots with coaches on the hot seat. At this point of the 2022 season, who are these teams, and how does Bieniemy fit with them?
