Five key questions to answer following Chiefs win over Rams

Butker back to normal?
For a few weeks, the hope for Chiefs fans was just to have Harrison Butker back in his role as the team’s kicker. For the following few weeks, that hope just wanted Butker to return to normal.
If you somehow missed the first half of the Chiefs’ season, Butker went down early in the first quarter of the first game of the team’s season with an sprain to the ankle on his plant foot. From there, Butker would go on to miss a few games, but even upon his return, it was clear he was not fully healed with missed field goals and extra points. As Butker worked his way back from injury, it looked like the Chiefs might neefd to go with a temporary option until Butker could find his way out of the rut.
Fast forward to Week 12 and Butker enjoyed himself a nice afternoon of football at Arrowhead Stadium with a perfect 4 of 4 field goal conversions. While the Chiefs weren’t exactly pushing him into the most challenging scenarios, the truth is that Butker has historically had a tougher time with chip shot field goals than long-distance shots. Yet on Sunday, Butker had an ideal afternoon and he helped K.C. put away the Rams in a game that was closer than expected in terms of the final score.
By now, it looks like Butker is back to his old self, a kicker with a strong booming leg who is also incredibly accurate. It’s nice to have him back.
