Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has earned AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors for his performance against the Chargers.

The Kansas City Chiefs claimed another AFC Offensive Player of the Week honor this season in a year where the unit has dominated most opponents. This time, tight end Travis Kelce took home the honors after putting on a clinic on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11.

With their win over the Chargers on Sunday night in primetime, the Chiefs created more than three games of distance in the standings between the two teams. Given the Chargers’ position as the second-best team in the AFC West, Kelce’s performance helped to also solidify a likely AFC West title once again—the team’s seventh in a row.

In the Chiefs’ win over L.A., Kelce caught six passes from Patrick Mahomes on a night where the Chargers knew Kelce would be getting the ball. The Chiefs were down Mecole Hardman, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Kadarius Toney due to injury, yet Kelce was still the same pillar as ever with 115 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Kelce has only won the award one other time: back in Week 15 of last season. Just a week ago, he also set the NFL record for most games of 100 or more receiving yards by a tight end with several more benchmarks in front of him.

On the season, Kelce has 69 catches for 855 yards and an NFL-high 11 touchdowns through 10 starts.
