Football is the ultimate team game, but three legendary Kansas City Chiefs players carried them to a 30-27 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Kansas City Chiefs pulled out another dramatic win against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night. The 30-27 win all but locked up the AFC West again this season despite all the moves and media buzz around the other three teams. Like most recent Chiefs/Chargers games this one came down to the wire and thankfully the Chiefs pulled out another huge win, in large part because of the play of three of the greatest players in franchise history.

Before we get to the three GOATs that ultimately took this game over, let’s take a moment to recognize a few other standout performances. Rookie Isiah Pacheco had the best game of his young career so far with 107 yards rushing. Mike Danna came up with two big sacks in his best game of the season. Skyy Moore, Justin Watson, and Jody Fortson really stepped up with all the wide receiver injuries and combined for 181 yards receiving. While those performances were all key parts of this win, the three most dominant players on the field for K.C. were Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Chris Jones.

The trio of Mahomes, Kelce, and Jones have been so good for so long in K.C. that it’s almost not news worthy to take time and talk about how good they are, but it has to be said. You can make an extremely strong case that those three are all the best in the NFL at their position right now and it showed on the field Sunday night as they were all absolutely dominant.

So let’s take a quick second and appreciate just how great they were on Sunday and how great they’ve been this season, starting with Patrick Lavon Mahomes II.
