Bills tackle Spencer Brown injured against Chiefs
By Matt Conner
The Buffalo Bills watched starting right tackle Spencer Brown go down with an injury in the second quarter against the Chiefs.
The Buffalo Bills already hated what they saw on a fourth-and-goal to go play in the second quarter against the Kansas City Chiefs. However, the long-term picture might be even worse seeing that right tackle Spencer Brown went down with an injury and is now headed to Buffalo’s locker room.
The Bills have termed him as questionable to return due to an ankle injury. The Bills can only hope that they can get their right tackle back sooner than later given the Chiefs’ ability to get after Josh Allen so far in this game.
The Bills were going for it on the final down instead of going for a field goal while down 7-3 in a close game at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 6. Isaiah McKenzie tripped on his route into the end zone which cost the Bills a scoring chance and the Chiefs defense held. At the same time, Brown was injured and the team called for the medical cart. Brown waved it away, but he did head to the locker room with assistance.
Brown is a former third-round pick who is the team’s starting tackle on the right side opposite Dion Dawkins. David Quessenberry will be the next man up for Buffalo as they take to the field following a punt from Kansas City near the close of the second quarter.
