Bryan Cook, Safety (Round 2, Pick 62)

Bryan Cook only played 11 snaps on Monday Night but had a bad night in coverage. He and fellow rookie Jaylen Watson were both covering Davante Adams on Las Vegas’ late 4th quarter touchdown. Despite the allowed touchdown, Cook had two assisted tackles in his limited action.

Bryan Cook played very well for the Chiefs in Week 4 against the Buccaneers but had a rough night on Monday. He’s had a decent rookie season overall but still has a lot of room to grow. He’s a willing tackler and has a lot of potential in coverage. He’s only played more than 11 snaps on defense in two games this season (Weeks 1 and 4) but could see more snaps as the year goes on. He’ll continue to serve as the third safety, along with Justin Reid and Juan Thornhill, but shouldn’t be starting anytime soon, barring an injury.

Isiah Pacheco, Running Back (Round 7, Pick 251)

Isiah Pacheco had a very quiet night for the Chiefs against the Raiders. That was primarily because he only played two snaps on offense the entire night. He ran for no gain on his only rushing attempt of the night and ran one route but was not targeted.

Isiah Pacheco may have had an uneventful game against Las Vegas but his rookie campaign has not been uneventful. He was great against the Buccaneers and ran very well against the Cardinals. He’ll continue to grow and could find himself sharing snaps evenly with the other two running backs on the roster in important games later this season.

Skyy Moore, Wide Receiver (Round 2, Pick 54)

Patrick Mahomes targeted Skyy Moore twice on Monday, with both coming late in the fourth quarter. Both plays were also very similar in that both were quick swing passes to Mahomes’ right. In total, he recorded two catches for 15 yards, but what might be more relevant is the fact that he ran 14 routes in the game, which is the most for him all season. I’ve been pushing for Andy Reid to give Skyy Moore a bigger role on offense as he’s a nuanced route-runner and can be a versatile piece for Patrick Mahomes.

His snap counts may not drastically increase against the Buffalo Bills but Skyy Moore will surely see his target share increase as the season goes on. Andy Reid may not completely trust him yet but I think he’s at least earned the right to split snaps with veteran Mecole Hardman.
