The Kansas City Chiefs are hosting the Buffalo Bills in Week 6. Let’s look at how FanDuel Sportsbook sees it playing out early in the week.

The Buffalo Bills are headed to Kansas City to play the Chiefs on Sunday for the fifth time with Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen as quarterbacks. Over the past two years, the Chiefs and Bills have faced off in a regular season game and wound up playing one another in the playoffs as well. There has never been a shortage of fireworks, and we can only expect more of the same for Sunday afternoon.

The Chiefs and Bills are atop the AFC at 4-1 a piece and Vegas is calling for a knockdown, drag-out brawl at Arrowhead. Fanduel Sportsbook has the Bills opening up as +2.5 point favorites in Kansas City and the points total is set at 53.5.

Chiefs fans, gamblers, and everyone in between should give sweet thanks to the odds makers. If you don’t absolutely love money on Patrick Mahomes as a home dog, and a total under 55 in this game, you haven’t been paying very close attention.

Chiefs vs. Bills odds for Week 6

Patrick Mahomes is 6-0-1 against the spread through his career as an underdog, and 5-2 straight up. I may be riding the high of the Chiefs’ Monday Night Football win over the Raiders, but this game feels like a lock to be at least equally exciting. Taking the Chiefs with the points yields -104 odds ($104 wager pays out $100) and if you like them to win outright, you can get them now at +128 ($100 wager pays out &128). There is certainly some bias in this take, but the Chiefs are hot right now. Vegas oddsmakers labeling them as inferior in this game, with sole possession of first place in the AFC on the line, is the ultimate bulletin board material. I fully expect to see Mahomes & Co. with chips on their shoulders Sunday, playing to prove their rightful position atop the conference.

As far as the points total goes, 53.5 is free money early in the week. It’s liable to change as we get closer to kickoff, so jump on it while you can. Since Mahomes and Allen kickstarted this rivalry in October of 2020, their offenses have averaged a combined 60.25 points per game when they’ve played. Buffalo’s defense is tied for first place in the NFL in points allowed per game (12.2), but they’ve played against three of the worst offenses in football so far in 2022. The Rams forced just 10 points against them, the Titans a mere 7, and last week, Pittsburgh gave a feeble 3-point effort.

Chiefs vs Bills prediction Week 6

It doesn’t matter who has done what so far, though. The energy that comes out when these two quarterbacks meet on the same field is far too big to assume results based on recent trends. I’m all in on another classic Bills vs Chiefs showdown on Sunday. Chiefs 36, Bills 33.
