Las Vegas Raiders receiver Davante Adams does not handle losing well and shoved someone on Arrowhead’s sidelines after Week 5.
It makes total sense that Davante Adams would be frustrated. He should be. He has every right to feel a wide array of emotions—none of which are likely positive—after losing to the Kansas City Chiefs despite his best efforts on Monday night for the Las Vegas Raiders.
That still doesn’t excuse his post-game behavior.
Following the Raiders’ one-point loss to the Chiefs in primetime in Week 5, Adams decided that he would take out some of his aggression on a cameraman or some other staffer on the sidelines at Arrowhead Stadium by shoving him. If you missed the footage on ESPN’s broadcast, you can check it out here.

Yeah, this is not okay. Not in any world by any player to anyone else. In a league where a taunting call can serious affect a game and when Chris Jones gets flagged for simply falling on Derek Carr during a strip sack, this action cannot go without some sort of punishment from the NFL.
It should be noted that Adams apologized to reporters after the game and then posted this on Twitter.
Losing on a regular basis is new to Adams, so that much should be said. As a longtime member of the Green Bay Packers, we agree that it has to be jarring to 1-4 and sitting in the basement of your division by three games when you’ve only played five. Even still, yeah, that’s no excuse.
Plenty of NFL fans and analysts were calling for the league to do something in the wake of Adams’ actions after they were broadcast everywhere. Could a suspension be coming? Will it remain a fine?
