NFL analysts are overwhelmingly siding with the Kansas City Chiefs in their matchup over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5.

If you listen to Andy Reid, he will undoubtedly tell you that he looks forward to the “challenge” of playing the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football. “Challenge” is the key word there for the Kansas City Chiefs head coach.

Reid is always quick to give public-facing respect for any and all opponents, but if you ask NFL experts about their picks and predictions for the NFL’s Week 5 slate, it’s hard to find anyone willing to back the Raiders. In fact, everyone we found it all in on the Chiefs to go to 4-1, especially since they’re back at home against such a hated rival in the AFC West.

Over at CBS Sports, Pete Prisco gives his rundown of Week 5 predictions and has the Chiefs pulling out a 10-point win at home and he says, “Look for Mahomes to have a big night.” Meanwhile at the Washington Post, they not only have the Chiefs as well, but they are encouraging readers to bet against the spread despite K.C. being favored by a touchdown.

From our friends at The Big Lead, Kyle Koster and Liam McKeone are going with the Chiefs but they believe it will be a close game in primetime. They think the Raiders will cover the spread and think the Raiders bring enough momentum to “make this interesting.”

We like the Vinnie Iyer is thinking these days as he has the Chiefs winning by double digits (38-27) and says K.C. is likely to force the Raiders into an “uncomfortable game script.” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. The same can be said of B.J. Rudell at Pro Football Network who writes, “I think the Chiefs are simply too tough at too many key positions” and picks them outright and against the spread.

Even when there are multiple persons involved, the Chiefs are still the overwhelming favorites. For example, at Yahoo’s expert picks, there are 13 persons predicting NFL outcomes and every single one of them has Kansas City.

If the Raiders are somehow able to shock the Chiefs, it will be the ultimate “no one saw it coming” sort of performance. That’s because everyone expect the Chiefs to bury them on Monday night at Arrowhead.
