The Las Vegas Raiders announced that Darren Waller is questionable to return to the game against the Chiefs with a hamstring injury.

The Las Vegas Raiders announced that former Pro Bowl tight end Darren Waller is questionable to return to the game on Monday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs. Waller is reportedly dealing with a hamstring injury.

Waller is a significant piece of the Raiders’ passing attack as a former Pro Bowler in 2020 with consecutive 1,000-yard seasons receiving in both 2019 and 2020. He struggled with injury last year, but the team showed significant confidence in his future despite being 30 years old by signing him to a lucrative contract extension just last month to start a new season.

Waller has been limited by injuries in recent weeks and while he’s played in every game so far this season for the Raiders, his production has been limited in Weeks 3 and 4. So far this year, he has only 16 catches for 175 yards and 1 touchdown.

The Raiders were already without Foster Moreau in this game due to injury and he was listed among the team’s inactive players coming into Week 5. This means the Raiders are now down to Jesper Horsted as their third and only tight end left in the game, who joined the Raiders after a few years with the Chicago Bears this offseason.
