The Kansas City Chiefs have come out against the Buccaneers with a storybook way to start the game in Week 4.

One week after the Kansas City Chiefs couldn’t find any offensive consistency and the team’s special teams units put up a comedy of errors in a frustrating loss to the Indianapolis Colts, the team has come out against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football with a storybook beginning.

There is, of course, plenty of game left to be played, but it’s hard not to appreciate the way the game has played out so far for the Chiefs. To begin the game, the Chiefs won the coin toss and elected to receive the ball to start the second half. As it turns out, fate wanted Reid’s offense to have the ball in the first hall as well.

The Bucs received the kickoff to start the game in primetime from the Chiefs and Rachaad White decided to run the ball out of his own end zone. From there, the Chiefs special teams took over as Elijah Lee, a linebacker heralded for his prowess on coverage units, knocked the ball free and the Chiefs recovered.

The Chiefs offense then took to the field and only needed two plays for Patrick Mahomes to find Travis Kelce on a nice 16-yard strike that gave the Chiefs a seven-point lead. Check out the great route here:
