It’s been a rough couple of weeks for Chiefs spread bettors, but Week 4 presents a perfect opportunity to flip the script and get revenge against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There are three clear reasons Kansas City will win by more than a field goal, which is the current spread, and the best thing is you’ve got a free $200 in bets waiting for you at BetMGM.

It doesn’t matter who scores, but I’m betting it’ll be a Chiefs player. Here’s why Kansas City will cover the spread against Tampa Bay in Week 4:

3 Reasons the Chiefs Cover the Spread Against the Bucs

Stellar Defense

For all the offensive struggles Kansas City is having early this season, the defense looks championship-caliber. After a spectacular effort to beat the Chargers, the Chiefs’ defense smothered Indy for every drive except one. Skyy Moore’s muffed punt allowed an easy TD, but otherwise, the defense held its own.

The Bucs haven’t scored more than 20 points yet, and it’s clear Tom Brady is suffering from the lack of depth at wide receiver and a shaky line. Suddenly with one of the best pass rushes in the NFL, Kansas City’s defense will put constant pressure on Brady this Sunday night.

Tampa Isn’t Impressive

Tampa Bay doesn’t look like a good football team. Sure, the defense is good. But the Bucs lost to a Packers team that got throttled by Kirk Cousins and has wins over Jameis Winston playing with fractures in his back and an also-injured Dak Prescott. Call me a critic, but I’m not impressed.

I’ll admit that the Chiefs didn’t look good last week either, but unlike the Bucs, Kansas City doesn’t have a ton of injuries causing that poor play. Our stars just played poorly. I expect a bounce-back performance from Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and others, while Tampa is relying on wide receivers literally signed off the street to inspire the offense.

Offensive Improvement

Look, Mahomes and the offense can’t stay this bad for long. The Arizona demolition just happened! It’s obvious the Chiefs miss Tyreek Hill, but I have faith in Andy Reid and Eric Bieniemy to figure things out and get Kansas City’s offense rolling again.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire is the bright spot offensively thus far, averaging 4.17 yards after contact per rushing attempt. Getting him the ball more often will help jumpstart the offense, and we’re overdue for a four-TD game from Mahomes.

Just be sure to claim your Bet $10, Win $200 offer from BetMGM before it’s too late. The Chiefs are due for a bounce-back, so sign up for BetMGM now so you can capitalize on Kansas City’s return to excellence.
