Skyy Moore, Wide Receiver (Round 2, Pick 54)

For the second consecutive game, Skyy Moore did not see a single target, though he did play eight snaps on offense. Unfortunately, Moore’s lack of involvement in the Chiefs’ offense is not the story as he had a very bad day returning punts. In his first return opportunity, Moore muffed the punt, setting up a 7-0 lead for the Colts. He also opted not to catch a punt, which ended up being downed at the 1-yard line. The Chiefs proceeded to go three and out.

It’s been said before, but Skyy Moore’s lack of offensive involvement is a little perplexing, especially since Kansas City’s wide receivers are having serious issues with separation.

Moore ended the day with two punt returns for 12 total yards and zero targets on offense. He will see his usage in the passing game increase at some point, whether that’s in the next couple of weeks or December or next year, but it will happen. As long as the Chiefs’ current wide receivers continue to struggle, fans are right in wanting Skyy Moore’s target share to increase.

Isiah Pacheco, Running Back (Round 7, Pick 251)

Isiah Pacheco had a very weird game in Indianapolis. On offense, he had three carries for a total of 9 yards as well as five kickoff returns for a total of 94 yards (18.8-yard average), including a long of 29.

The most notable play of the game for Pacheco was when he tripped on the turf at the Kansas City 10 yard-line on a kickoff return, in which he fumbled the ball, and luckily recovered. Down 17-13, the Chiefs started the ensuing drive at their own 12-yard-line and ended up unsuccessfully faking a field goal on 4th & 11 at the Indianapolis 24-yard-line.

Isiah Pacheco did not have a strong game against the Colts but he’s absolutely paying dividends for the Chiefs, especially as a 7th-round draft pick.
