What time is KC Chiefs vs. Arizona Cardinals game?
By Matt Conner
Here’s the time and other important information for the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Arizona Cardinals game in Week 1.
After several months of a long offseason and even several weeks of the NFL preseason and training camp, fans within Chiefs Kingdom are finally ready to watch some meaningful football that actually counts for something. The Kansas City Chiefs head to the desert to face the Arizona Cardinals to start their season and there’s an equal mix of excitement and uncertainty in the air.
For the Chiefs, the team has nothing but Super Bowl aspirations in mind given the presence of elite talents on the sidelines and the field. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes will have the Chiefs in every single game they play and head coach Andy Reid is the legend that keeps them competitive. From there, NFL greats like Travis Kelce, Joe Thuney, Chris Jones, and others put the Chiefs over the top more often than not.
This year, however, there’s been a major loss of leadership and dynamism with the team’s choice to move on from Tyreek Hill via trade and Tyrann Mathieu and others via free agency. The flip side, however, is that the team’s semi-youth movement has brought exciting first-year players on board like George Karlaftis, Trent McDuffie, and Skyy Moore to play alongside Justin Reid and JuJu Smith-Schuster on a roster that already had exciting young talent.
How will the Chiefs respond? Are they ready for the road ahead? Can a young defense gel? Will the offense need time to adjust to new faces? There’s a lot of cautious optimism that hopes to see a rebuilt roster blossom in the desert.
