Week 10: vs Jacksonville Jaguars (12:00, CBS)

Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars come to town for a random November game at Arrowhead. It also marks the second time that Doug Pederson will return to Kansas City since leaving the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator position back in 2016 to become the Eagles’ head coach.

This is a game, on paper, that Kansas City should win going away but the Chiefs always seem to lose a weird game every year so I’m going to mark this as a loss. I have no real analysis other than the Jaguars are a young team and even upset the Bills and Colts in crucial games for both teams, which cost the former a better playoff seed and the latter a playoff spot. This also could be seen as a trap game since they play the Chargers the following week.

It’ll be an ugly day at Arrowhead but the Chiefs will march on.

Result: Chiefs LOSE 24-21 and fall to 6-3.

Week 11: at Los Angeles Chargers (3:25, CBS)

The Chargers and Chiefs will meet for the second time this (regular) season in Inglewood, California. The second meeting in a season between divisional rivals generally favors the team that is better coached. In that case, I would have Kansas City completing a sweep but I’ll go with Los Angeles as these two teams are close enough that I think they will split again as they did last year.

Result: Chiefs LOSE 34-26 and stumble to 6-4.

Week 12: vs Los Angeles Rams (3:25, FOX)

The defending super bowl champions come to town for a long-awaited rematch of the classic 2018 Monday Night Classic in which the Rams came out on top 54-51.

I think that this game has a chance to resemble the game from four years ago. Both teams still have elite offenses and now both teams have elite quarterbacks. The Rams’ biggest question mark is their offensive line, after the retirement of Andrew Whitworth, so this game will be a huge test for a Kansas City pass rush that is under a lot of pressure.

In the end, I think it will be the Chiefs who come out on top and win a game that will quickly turn into a classic.

Result: Chiefs WIN 38-35 and go to 7-4.
