This episode of the Arrowhead Addict podcast looks at the Kansas City Chiefs moves to get down to 80 players and the latest injury concerns for the team.

It’s been an interesting week for the Kansas City Chiefs, one filled with mostly positive news and developments given their performance in their latest preseason game. At the same time, the Chiefs have also experienced some unfortunate injuries and the news has cast a bit of a shadow over a team with significant potential yet serious hurdles.

On Saturday, the Chiefs took care of a stout Washington defense fairly easily with their first-team offensive unit in the game. It felt similar to the team’s opening preseason loss to the Chicago Bears with regard to how positive the starters looked. Despite the Bears win, the truth is that the first-team units on both sides of the ball were dominant and that’s been true now for the second week in a row.

That said, the Chiefs are dealing with a number of players on the sideline. Lucas Niang can’t seem to catch a break and is now on the PUP list with a knee injury. JuJu Smith-Schuster is another name to watch as he continues to sit out of practice. The same can be said of defensive end Carlos Dunlap as he deals with an Achilles injury before the season gets underway.

On this episode of the Arrowhead Addict podcast, hosts Matt Conner and Sterling Holmes discuss the week’s developments and look at some injuries to gauge what they could mean going forward for the Chiefs.
