Skyy Moore

Another 2022 draft pick, wide receiver Skyy Moore had a heck of a day in his debut on an NFL field. Moore is another guy who has received a great deal of hype leading up to Saturday’s preseason opener, and Moore must live up to the weight of expectations in the wake of the Tyreek Hill trade.

Moore was seen lining up both inside and outside in the first half and also hauled in the punts. Special teams coordinator Dave Toub recently made a statement about developing multiple returners as Mecole Hardman is poised to take on a bigger role in the offense. Moore fielded each of his punts cleanly, including one where a teammate was blocked into him as he was catching it. His most impressive reception of the day, however, came on a big first-down pick up.

Entering the draft, Moore was most highly touted for his reliable hands, which he showcased on that catch. He finished his day with three receptions—on three targets, of course—and 23 yards. As the only lock in the receiving corps to haul in multiple catches, Moore not only helped boost his own stock in the locker room but solidified himself as a versatile weapon for the offense in his debut.
