Just like last year, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has shaved off his beard but kept the mustache – but is it really that good looking?
It’s back! Travis Kelce has apparently regrown his infamous mustache for Kansas City Chiefs training camp again this year.
Fans may remember that Kelce also grew his stache out (or rather shaved the rest of his beard) last year during training camp, too. But the real question is, what do the fans think of the mustache?
Some will undoubtedly love the look. Others will probably hate it. And some, like myself, will find fall somewhere in the middle. A part of me wants to say, ‘That’s super cool!’ but another part of me cringes just a little bit.
I love Kelce, don’t get me wrong, but I’m not sure I love the mustache of a certain ’80s type of “star.” But it’s starting to grow on me, no pun intended. Maybe I’m also just a bit jealous that I’ll never be able to grow such a nice mustache so easily.
Nonetheless, I’m glad Kelce is having a good time at camp. After the Tyreek Hill debacle, it’s just nice to see another Chief star player happy with the team and in a good mood. Hopefully it stays that way for quite a long time. To make it happen, the Chiefs recently gave Kelce a $3 million raise. And he recently emphasized his desire to retire with the team.
As training camp begins to wind down, the preseason starts, and the regular season comes hurtling towards us, Kelce will likely drop the mustache just like he did last season. But for now, we’ll get to enjoy those goofy (and maybe endearing) pictures of him.
What do you think of Travis Kelce’s mustache? Should he keep it for the long haul? Keep it as a training camp tradition? Shave it off right now? Or go full on Zeus with the complete beard
