The Kansas City Chiefs activated offensive lineman Prince Tega Wanogho from the Physically Unable to Play list on Thursday.

The Kansas City Chiefs began with a number of offensive linemen missing from training camp for one reason or another, but slowly and steadily, players are returning to the field. The latest player back in the fold of training camp is offensive tackle Prince Tega Wanogho, who was activated from the team’s Physically Unable to Perform list (PUP list) on Thursday.

Per the NFL’s transaction wire, the Chiefs saw Wanogho pass his physical for the first time this summer, which means he’s now able to join the rest of the extended roster in padded practices in training camp at St. Joseph.

The Chiefs began camp without Wanogho and Lucas Niang on the PUP list as well as Orlando Brown Jr., who was holding out from camp after expressing his frustrations with the lack of a long-term contract (and being forced to play out the season on the franchise tag). It forced the Chiefs to make extra moves for offensive linemen like Chris Glaser, David Steinmetz, and Evin Ksiezarczyk.

Wanogho originally came into the league as a sixth-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2020 NFL Draft but he was not brought back to the roster after sitting on the practice squad that season. Instead, the Chiefs signed him to a reserve/futures deal that winter and he’s been with the team since January 2021.
