#13 Nazeeh Johnson

College: Marshall
Years Pro: Rookie (23 years old)
Chance of Making the Roster: Practice squad candidate

With their final pick of the 2021 draft, the Chiefs selected safety Nazeeh Johnson out of Marshall. He was not a player with a lot of credentials or attention. Because he was not invited to the NFL Scouting Combine, Johnson did not get a lot of focus before the draft. He brings some great athleticism to the back end. At Marshall, Johnson earned the Unsung Hero Award from his teammates because of his impact on the defense. Johnson will be given an opportunity to earn a role on this roster. At the very least, he will hold a practice squad spot.

#40 Nasir Greer

College: Wake Forest
Years Pro: Rookie (22 years old)
Chance of Making the Roster: Low

Nasir Greer had a very nice start to his college career with the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. After he was sidelined in 2020 with an ACL tear, he never really returned to form. As a versatile chess piece, the Chiefs will give Greer a chance to make the roster for 2022. While he will be facing stiff competition, he could prove to be a valuable asset if he can return to his true form.
