#69 OT/G Chris Glaser

College: Virginia
Years Pro: Rookie
Chance of Making the Roster: Practice Squad Candidate

Chris Glaser was signed after an impressive showing at minicamp when he was invited to showcase his skills. Glaser was a multi-year starter for the Virginia Cavaliers and was an effective run blocker. Virginia’s offensive line was very good last season and Glaser was a big part of that success. It seems unlikely that Glaser will take anyone else’s job but it is possible that he takes a prime role on the practice squad.

#66 G/C Mike Caliendo

College: Western Michigan
Years Pro: Rookie (24 years old)
Chance of Making the Roster: Low

Mike Caliendo is a finesse-style guard. While he is not overly impressive in his athleticism, he is technically sound and is a very smart player. When it comes to blocking, that is a lot of the battle. Caliendo can play guard or center but primarily played center in college. While he seems like a long shot, it is not out of the realm of possibility that Caliendo carves out a role on the practice squad.

#76 T/G Vitaliy Gurman

College: Toledo
Years Pro: Rookie
Chance of Making the Roster: Low

In another tryout, the Chiefs took a flyer on Vitaliy Gurman. Gurman spent the majority of his time playing tackle but was able to play anywhere on the line. Toledo’s offense was the best in the MAC last season and the offensive line was a major part of that success. Gurman will be competing for a backup/special teams role.

#41 LS James Winchester

College: Oklahoma
Years Pro: 8 (32 years old)

Chance of Making the Roster: Lock

James Winchester is the second-longest tenured Chief behind only Travis Kelce. While long snapper is not a sexy position to play, Winchester has been among the best at his job in the NFL. Look for Winchester to be the starting long snapper in Kansas City for the rest of his career.
