#18 Aaron Parker

College: Rhode Island
Years Pro: 1 (24 years old)
Chance of Making the Roster: Low

Aaron Parker lands on the preseason roster for the Kansas City Chiefs after just one season with the Dallas Cowboys. The former Rhode Island Rams star could not carve out a role in Dallas and spent some time on the practice squad after being cut during the last week of the preseason in 2021. Parker had a remarkable final season in college, but he has not yet transferred his skills to the NFL.

Parker is unlikely to take over a spot on the roster due to the other players having very similar roles and talent levels. That being said, Parker could have a strong showing in the preseason and very easily surprise all of us.

#23 Gary Jennings

College: West Virginia
Years Pro: 2 (25 years old)
Chance of Making the Roster: Low

Gary Jennings has only been in the NFL for a short time. After being drafted in the fourth round by the Seattle Seahawks, Jennings has been on seven teams. Those teams are the Seahawks, Dolphins, Ravens, Bills, Colts, and Raiders, and now he is with the Chiefs. With really good athleticism and size, Jennings is certainly worth another look.

Jennings, however, has a tough task ahead of him. It appears unlikely that if he is already on his seventh team in a short time, he will suddenly catch lightning in a bottle and become a pro-bowler or even a contributor.

#85 Omar Bayless

College: Arkansas State
Years Pro: 2 (25 years old)
Chance of Making the Roster: Low

Omar Bayless spent time with the Carolina Panthers last season but never got an opportunity to play in a game. Bayless had an excellent senior campaign with the Arkansas State Red Wolves amassing 93 receptions for 1,653 yards and a whopping 17 touchdowns. Bayless will get another shot with the Chiefs.

While he is a long shot to even make the practice squad, Bayless will be a player to keep an eye on. Anyone that is that dominant in college at any level should be given an opportunity. Keep an eye on where he gets the majority of his reps.

#84 Justin Watson

College: Pennsylvania
Years Pro: 5 (26 years old)
Chance of Making the Roster: On the bubble

While the spotlight has certainly been on Justyn Ross, there is another Justin that has been getting some love. Justin Watson has spent some time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, appearing in 40 career games. As both a special teams coordinator and a big-bodied receiver, Watson will certainly be a player to watch. Watson recently spent time working with Patrick Mahomes in Texas this offseason.

If Watson can make an impact on special teams and take a few reps on offense, he could put himself above some of the others. With a big frame and good athleticism, Watson has a real shot at making the final 53.
