Geron Christian

One free agent that fans might have forgotten about in the frenzy of activity this offseason is the signing of Geron Christian to a one-year deal this spring.

The Chiefs added Christian to the mix this offseason in order to finally add a veteran swing tackle given the late-season injuries, and Christian not only brings experience starting on both sides in the NFL, but he even adds some intriguing upside as a third-round prospect out of Louisville who never quite panned out as hoped (in WAS) but who could still find a higher ceiling than expected in the right scenario.

At the very least, Christian brings four years of NFL experience of 38 games and 16 starts with the Washington Football Team and Houston Texans to training camp where he’ll try to hold off a challenge from his teammates for that OT3 spot. Even if Brown holds out and the Chiefs keep other players at their present positions—Thuney at LG and Niang at RT—Christian could be a veteran to step in for a spell.
