21. Detroit Lions: Mike Williams, WR, Clemson (Original Pick: Jarrad Davis, LB, Florida)

Jarrad Davis is going to start a stretch in the 2017 NFL Draft where most picks were either grand slams or a giant miss. Davis never played well in Detroit and was never quite a fit with Matt Patricia’s scheme. Mike Williams is a solid second receiver and would have been a great option to help Detroit replace the future HOFer Calvin Johnson.

22. Miami Dolphins: John Johnson III, S, Boston College (Original Pick: Charles Harris, EDGE, Missouri)

Charles Harris and the Miami Dolphins were never quite a match. Across three seasons in Miami, he only managed to record 3.5 sacks. In 2021, with the Lions of all teams, he more than doubled his career sack totals when he had a career-high 7.5 sacks.

John Johnson III has always been underrated. In his four years with the Los Angeles Rams, he had 16 interceptions and 24 pass breakups, per Pro Football Focus ($). The Dolphins get a second chance and take a defender who ended up being one of the biggest defensive steals for the 2017 NFL Draft.

23. New York Giants: Alvin Kamara, RB, Tennessee (Original Pick: Evan Engram, TE, Ole Miss)

No one really knows what to think of Evan Engram but for most of his career, he’s been a disappointment. Across his five total seasons, he’s only recorded 2,828 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns. He isn’t the worst 1st round pick ever but he wasn’t a great pick by the Giants either.

One year before taking Saquon Barkley, the Giants in this re-draft take a running back who was great the day he played his first snap for the New Orleans Saints.

24. Las Vegas Raiders: Adoree’ Jackson, CB, USC (Original Pick: Gareon Conley, CB, Ohio State)

Gareon Conley was a huge disappointment for the Raiders. Conley has only played three seasons in his career, for the Raiders and Texans, and has recorded 4 interceptions. He has not played a snap in the NFL since the Chiefs’ famous 24-0 comeback in the 2019 NFL Divisional Round against the Texans.

Adoree’ Jackson was a really good player for the Tennessee Titans. He is probably a little low in this re-draft but the Raiders get one of the best do-overs they could get in nabbing the former Trojan.
