On this episode of the Arrowhead Addict podcast, Matt Verderame and Patrick Allen focus on the potential of second-year players for the Chiefs.

The Kansas City Chiefs are going to be counting on some second-year players taking the leap to the next level as they head into the ’22 regular season. After gaining a full year of experience under their belts, the sophomores on the roster should be ready to handle a bigger load. In some cases, that’s a good thing given the need at particular positions.

The Chiefs are going to need Joshua Kaindoh and/or Malik Herring to make the jump at defensive end. Cornell Powell and Noah Gray are second-year pass catchers in an offense looking for new faces. Nick Bolton is stepping in where Anthony Hitchens once stood. As for Creed Humphrey, he’s already great but further growth will only make this offensive line better.

On this episode of the Arrowhead Addict podcast, hosts Patrick Allen and Matt Verderame break down the expectations for these players and who might step up. In addition, they ask important questions about the buzz surrounding wide receiver Justin Watson and the ability of Chad Henne to remain the team’s backup quarterback.
