DEEBO SAMUEL – SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (WEEK 7)

Deebo Samuel presents one of the most unique challenges that McDuffie and the Chiefs will face, with the explosive wide receiver able to be used in so many different ways.

Samuel averaged a league-high 10.2 yards after the catch per reception and had 1,405 yards on 77 receptions with six touchdowns, stats that saw him ranked third in PFF’s list of top wide receivers in 2021.

Samuel’s explosive speed plus the way the 49ers also utilise him in their offense as a running back—he had 59 carries in 2021—will certainly make for a tricky test.

He had nine receptions of 40 yards or more in 2021, tied for the most in the NFL alongside Kupp and L.A. Charger Mike Williams.

The 49ers offense as a whole averaged 12.9 yards per reception last season, the most of any team in the league.
