Allen Bailey

After 8 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, Allen Bailey left the team and signed with the Atlanta Falcons prior to the 2019 season. After being released by The Dirty Birds in February of 2021, Bailey has yet to be signed to an NFL roster.

After being selected with the 86th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, Bailey enjoyed a relatively long career with the Chiefs. Eight seasons is already a rare feat in the NFL but eight seasons with one team is not a common occurrence in the modern era. As a member of the Chiefs, he racked up 21.5 career sacks and 217 total tackles.

Though it isn’t unheard of for a player to take a season off, given his age and declining skillset, I feel that isn’t inaccurate to say that Allen Bailey’s NFL career has come to an end.
