Receiving Yards

  • Tony Gonzalez – 15,127 (1st)

  • Jason Witten – 13,046 (2nd)

  • Antonio Gates – 11,841 (3rd)

  • Shannon Sharpe – 9,961 (4th)

  • Rob Gronkowski – 9,286 (5th)

  • Travis Kelce – 9,006 (6th)

  • Jimmy Graham – 8,506 (8th)

  • Ozzie Newsome – 7,980 (9th)

  • Kellen Winslow – 6,741 (14th)

Takeaways: The top four on this list are the exact same as the receptions leaders. It is worth noting that despite being 10th in receptions, Rob Gronkowski is currently 5th in receiving yards thanks to his insane 15.0 yards per reception number. None of the other eight players listed have a yards per reception number of over 13. Travis Kelce is actually second in this group at 12.8 yards per receptions.

Receiving Yards Per Game

  • Travis Kelce – 70.9 (1st)

  • Rob Gronkowski – 64.9 (2nd)

  • Kellen Winslow – 61.8 (3rd)

  • Tony Gonzalez – 56.0 (4th)

  • Shannon Sharpe – 53.0 (6th)

  • Antonio Gates – 50.2 (8th)

  • Jason Witten – 48.1 (9th)

  • Jimmy Graham – 46.2 (10th)

  • Ozzie Newsome – 40.3 (15th)

Takeaways: This is where Kelce’s numbers are really off the charts good. He’s currently averaging over 20 yards per game more than guys like Antonio Gates and Jason Witten. Now to be fair, Kelce is still in his statistical prime. As he gets older his production numbers are likely too drop and that will bring his average down before he retires. However, his current number is so good that even if he does see a decline as he gets older he will probably remain amongst the top guys of all time in this category. It’s also worth noting that Tony Gonzalez still finished 4th best despite his ridiculously long career.

Next let’s look at the top tight end touchdown scorers.
