Week 9, Chiefs vs. Titans – Sunday Night Football

This game is a bit of a puzzler at this point in the offseason.

Any team that was the previous season’s top seed in a conference heading into the playoffs should not be overlooked the following year. That’s certainly true for the Tennessee Titans, especially considering they have their core back in place as they hope Ryan Tannehill can remain effective and Derrick Henry can do the heavy lifting.

That said, the Titans fell apart in the postseason and they certainly won’t strike fear in the heart of anyone after a middling offseason. When you hear talk of contenders in the AFC, the Titans aren’t often brought up and it feels like they might have missed their window of opportunity knowing key components are getting older.

Still, the Chiefs cannot take this home game lightly. Remember the Titans beat them by 9x their own score just last season in a devastating 27-3 loss in Nashville. The Titans have also added some offensive parts with Treylon Burks replacing A.J. Brown, the trade for Robert Woods from the Rams, and the signing of tight end Austin Hooper.
