KC Chiefs schedule: Previewing primetime games for 2022

Week 5, Chiefs vs. Raiders – Monday Night Football
If you’re looking for a questionable primetime matchup on the Chiefs’ slate, this one is it.
Yes, the Raiders have played the Chiefs tough before and there was even the shocking home loss two seasons ago after which the Raiders took a victory lap around Arrowhead. But the truth is the Raiders are 3-15 against the Chiefs since Andy Reid arrived, and last year they were absolutely crushed at home and on the road by a combined score of 89 to 23.
Yes, the Raiders should be improved. Any team is going to look better with Davante Adams as part of the passing game. Chandler Jones should also look effective rushing the passer opposite Maxx Crosby. It’s also notable that they’ve added Rock Ya-Sin and Anthony Averett as corners to the secondary.
New leaders could help turn things around in the front office (Dave Ziegler) and the sidelines (Josh McDaniels), but the chasm between both teams is too much for a single offseason to cure. This should be a one-sided primetime matchup that’s only interesting because Demarcus Robinson will be on the other side.
