Round 7 – Pick 251 – Isiah Pacheco – Running Back – Rutgers

Matt Conner: “Veach is convinced that he’ll find RB value late, so how can you beat a 7th round flyer?” Grade: B+

Zach Gunter: “YES! I absolutely LOVE this guy. I was iffy on the pick at first, but he’s got some skill to him. Not that we needed an running back, we had three likely game-day guys and the potential to re-sign McKinnon, but this guy has me wanting to run through a brick wall for him.” Grade: A+

Grant Tuttle: “Pacheco was one of the most underrated backs in this class. Veach was not afraid to say that there were guys at the end of the draft that could be very good at running back. He was 100% on with Pacheco. With tremendous burst and a willingness to do the dirty work, Pacheco could truly get a chance to contribute from day one on special teams and on third down.” Grade: A+

Lyle Graversen: “I’ll admit that I didn’t know anything about Pacheco before the Chiefs took him. After watching a little of his highlights I can see the appeal. There’s an opening for the 3rd running back spot on the roster and Pacheco looks like he has a good chance to stick. That sounds like a good use of a 7th-round pick to me.” Grade: A

Scott Loring: Grade: B-

Jacob Milham: Grade: A
