Edge Rushers

Cameron Thomas, San Diego State

Cameron Thomas is an absolute beast and, quite frankly, I’m a little surprised that he didn’t go on day one. But I’ll take it. Thomas did nothing but produce in his time with San Diego State. He displays terrific technique, athleticism, and motor, and his production is something the Kansas City Chiefs pass rush didn’t do much of last season. If Thomas is available for the Chiefs on day two, I would not hate for them to double up on edge rushers after already selecting George Karlaftis at No. 30. It doesn’t hurt that Thomas can play both inside and outside on the line.

Kingsley Enagbare, South Carolina

The selection of Karlfatis in the first round was a great move by Veach, but one player isn’t going to change the line. The unit still needs help knowing Frank Clark, Mike Danna, and Joshua Kaindoh are the other options. The Chiefs need to continue adding talent and Enagbare would fit the bill. He is an athletic edge rusher, but it’s more how he plays his game that draws me in. He has the speed to beat tackles off the edge, has the strength to make tackles against some of the bigger running backs, and has great fundamentals.
