Here’s a rundown of everything you need to know to watch the 2022 NFL Draft.

The 2022 NFL Draft is nearly upon us after weeks and even months of waiting. It seems amazing that entire sites provide coverage and analysis throughout the entire calendar year just to enhance the understanding and anticipation of the National Football League’s first-year player draft.

This year, it’s going to be a wild weekend for fans of the Kansas City Chiefs knowing that the team has significant holes to fill with the losses of Charvarius Ward, Tyreek Hill, Melvin Ingram, and Tyrann Mathieu this offseason. At the same time, general manager Brett Veach is loaded with 12 draft picks to use, including 8 of the draft’s first 135 picks. The Chiefs will be on the clock twice in the opening round on Thursday night thanks to the Hill trade and their ability to finally retain their own original pick at No. 30 overall.

Lest you think that you can largely skip the opening hour or so of the draft this year, you might want to reconsider. This year, teams are scrambling to get down in the draft in order to pick up more picks in the middle rounds given the lack of can’t-miss talent up top. Combined with Veach’s known aggression, the Chiefs might be one of the few teams poised to move up with plenty of draft capital at Veach’s disposal.
