7. New York Giants: Edge Kayvon Thibodeaux, Oregon

This is another spot where we could see a trade, but the Giants have a hyper-athletic pass rusher staring them in the face. Thibodeaux was viewed as the best prospect in this draft months ago, but recently teams have been scared off of the Oregon product with question marks about his desire and dips in production. However, the Giants need a pass rusher, and Thibodeaux offers an abundance of upside and can produce right away. A number of draft analysts claim that the 6’5”, 250-pound pass rusher is not elite in any pass-rushing category. Thibodeaux is also considered to be undersized as an outside pass rusher, but there were points when he dominated parts of games. The Giants will be getting a player that should be hungrier and ready to prove doubters wrong. This could be a steal for New York, and grabbing talent on each side of the line-of-scrimmage is an exciting start.

8. Atlanta Falcons: WR Garrett Wilson, Ohio State

The Matt Ryan era has come to an end, so this could be a potential landing spot for another quarterback. However, Marcus Mariota should be serviceable, and Atlanta is in desperate need of a receiver with the suspension of Calvin Ridley and the departure of Russell Gage to Tampa Bay. Wilson gives Atlanta a reliable option on the outside. The Ohio State product is arguably the best wideout in this year’s class, and he possesses speed, athleticism, the ability to create yards after the catch, and can go up for 50-50 balls. The 21-year-old receiver is the complete package, and he will instantly be a go-to option for Mariota and this Falcons’ offense.

9. Seattle Seahawks: OT Ikem Ekwonu, North Carolina State

Seattle has needs on both sides of the ball, but I believe they can address the defensive side of the ball in the second and third rounds. Drafting an offensive lineman like Ekwonu is a monumental pick for Seattle. Ekwonu is the most athletic offensive lineman in the draft, and he is a universal fit for any scheme. This would be a slam dunk pick for the Seahawks, and a good starting spot to rebuild their dysfunctional offensive line. Ekwonu could end up being the best offensive lineman from this draft class.
