The Kansas City Chiefs are wrapping up their prospect visits to Arrowhead Stadium before the 2022 NFL Draft comes up next week, and the latest wide receiver to come through town for a closer look is Wake Forest prospect Jaquarii Roberson.

Roberson is earning attention from a few teams as the draft nears. According to Justin Melo, the Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, and Los Angeles Chargers are some of the other teams who have visited with Roberson this spring in anticipation of the first-year player draft.

The latest wide receiver to visit the Kansas City Chiefs before the 2022 NFL Draft is Jaquarii Roberson from Wake Forest.

Roberson measures just under 6’1 and weighed 185 lbs. at his pro day at Wake Forest and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.50 seconds. He also had a 40 inch vertical leap and hit nice times of 6.88 seconds and 4.13 seconds in the 3-cone and shuttle drills, respectively. Last season, Roberson caught 71 passes for the Deacons with 1,078 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns.

Roberson is not expected to be taken until late in the draft, so the Chiefs are likely checking in on long-term potential and special teams acumen on a visit with Roberson. However, Roberson didn’t play much of that at Wake Forest, so that will be a big question mark coming in for K.C.

As for need, the Chiefs definitely need to look at some new prospects who can round out the depth chart and the competition should be fierce there. The Chiefs have had the likes of Marcus Kemp and Gehrig Dieter around for some time, and this year they’ve waved goodbye to Demarcus Robinson, Tyreek Hill, and Byron Pringle. The Chiefs have other options already on the roster, but perhaps Roberson could step in and compete as well.
