Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State

Projected Range:

#10 overall – #25 overall

Overview:

The Chiefs will undoubtedly have a choice of several receivers if they want to move up, but for some analysts, Olave is the top receiver in the draft. With incredible burst and explosiveness, he is able to separate and make guys miss downfield. Like Williams, Olave is capable of playing any role as a wide receiver.

The Chiefs seem to be morphing into a new offense. An offense that is not so reliant on superstars and has talent distributed evenly in its playmakers may be exactly what Olave needs to thrive in the NFL. While it is unclear whether or not he will be a pro bowl caliber player, it is obvious that he can be a playmaker at the next level.

Olave has some serious fandom amongst the media. Whether or not the Chiefs have the same love for him remains to be seen. With that in mind, the Chiefs could very well have an opportunity to move up for him.

Compensation:

Olave could be the first receiver off the board. Or, he could fall behind some other receivers such as Skyy Moore or Drake London. It will really depend on where teams have him on their big boards. If he slides to the pick 17-20 range, the Chiefs could trade a first and second to go up and nab him.
